Community Engagement

Absolute local focus and commitment

The Engage Marine Group is committed to investing in and supporting the local communities in which we operate. We work closely with local port and community stakeholders when commencing operations and throughout the course of our operations to identify opportunities to maximise the use of local content and ensure regular interfaces and interactions with the lcoal community.

We support and invest in local communities on a number of levels, including:

  • Utilising local suppliers where ever possible;
  • Establishing a local presence within the community to run our operations;
  • Ensuring our team of crews live in the local area and surrounds;
  • Sponsoring and supporting local community activities and groups; and
  • Offering traineeships to local students and candidates.

The majority of our operations are within regional or remote ports and we are proud to be part of the fabric of these communities.

We also work closely with the traditional land owners of each area.We have a proud partnership with the Juru people in Bowen (our Abbot Point operations) and have worked collabortively with them to establish our indigenous traineeship.
